FairWait About

Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 October 2026 · Version 2

1. Who we are

FairWait (fairwait.uk, "the Service") is run by its founder, an individual based in England. It is not yet a registered company. Contact: privacy@fairwait.uk.

2. What FairWait is

FairWait is free health information. It helps you explore how to get treatment: public systems, private hospitals and abroad, with waiting times, typical prices and links to official sources. It also offers an optional personal tracker that stays on your own device.

3. Not medical advice

Nothing on FairWait is medical, financial, insurance or legal advice, and using it doesn't create a doctor–patient or advisory relationship. A shorter wait or a lower price isn't necessarily the right choice for you. Discuss treatment decisions with a qualified clinician. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Don't rely on FairWait.

4. How to read the figures

5. Links to other sites

FairWait links to official health services, hospitals, clinics, insurers and booking services. Buttons say what they do: "Open NHS App", "Find a provider", "Visit website" and so on. FairWait doesn't make bookings and isn't responsible for other sites. Listing a provider isn't an endorsement or recommendation.

6. Your account and your content

An account is optional. Keep your password private. Records you keep in the tracker are yours and stay on your device (see the Privacy Policy). If you submit a price or wait quote, you let us show an anonymous version to other users. Ask us and we'll remove it.

7. Acceptable use

Don't submit false information, scrape the site at volume, try to get around security or rate limits, or use FairWait for anything unlawful. We may suspend access for misuse.

8. Errors and corrections

We check sources regularly and test every outside link weekly, but figures and links can still be out of date or wrong. Use "Report a problem" on any page, or email us, and we'll check and fix it.

9. Liability

FairWait is provided free and "as is". We don't guarantee that every figure is current or complete, or that the Service will always be available. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from decisions made using FairWait. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Paid plans

Everything on FairWait is currently free. If paid plans are introduced, their price and billing terms will be shown before anyone pays, and these terms will be updated.

11. Changes and governing law

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll update the date and version above and tell account holders. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
